If you are a Blackberry fan then you are going to adore the Blackberry Storm 2. It has everything that made the original Blackberry Storm popular but it also has some extra tidbits and a few improvements. Everyone agrees that there has been many improvements made, however there is very little that is innovative and fresh.

Appearance:

As far as the way it looks, the Blackberry Storm 2 9520 is almost identical to its forerunner. At 160g, this phone is actually heavier than the original Blackberry, so this is somewhat disappointing. Even though it’s heavy and big it’s easy to use. This phone has a 3.2 inch, 65 color TFT LCD touch screen that is bright and responsive and to prevent opening files and attachments by accident, it comes with SurePress technology. Some users don’t like the clicking sound made by the screen, however, we think it reassures you that you actually pressed what you intended to press. This phone does not have a QWERTY keyboard, it has an onscreen keyboard. Even though it is more advanced than other onscreen keyboards, we would have liked a real QWERTY keyboard.

Sound:

You will find that the sound quality of the Blackberry Storm 2 is as sharp and clear as ever, making it a pleasure to enjoy your music as well as phone calls and conference calls. When it comes to music however, there is nothing “mind blowing” going on here. It has the basic speakers, media player and microphone plus the ever popular 3.5 mm headphone jack which allows you to enjoy your tunes with your own headphones.

Camera:

The 3.2 megapixel camera is also pretty basic. It will take pretty good photos in bright light, but they can get blurry in dim settings. For shooting quick photos, the flash, auto focus and stabilizer will allow you to do that. The video capabilities are also basic with playing options and streaming video.

Internet Connectivity:

When it comes to email and internet connectivity the Blackberry 2 delivers as always. Its quadband technology, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G HSDPA, GPRS, EDGE and others will allow you to be connected no matter where you travel.

This phone offers wireless email and integrated accounts. It also lets you arrange different inboxes that you can access easily on the home page. You can also stay in touch with Myspace, Facebook and Gmail contacts. So with instant messaging capabilities, SMS and MMS this phone is great for social networking.  You also have GPS to play with.

Memory and Talk Time:

The Storm 2 has a limited battery life of 5 hours talk time and 305 hours of standby. However, with the 256 MB flash memory and an extra 2GB of memory from a micro SD card, you should have plenty of memory to store your texts, emails and photos.

Conclusion:

If you’re looking to replace your Blackberry Storm, you should consider the Blackberry Storm2 9520. On the other hand, if you’re looking for something original or new, keep looking. If you want to save some money, it would be wise to get the Blackberry Storm2 9520 through cheap mobilephone contract deal
